Due to sue Facebook, Yahoo Attacked

CALIFORNIA - When Yahoo threatened to sue about 10 Facebook-related patent infringement, seems not to have many supporters. Then when the lawsuit actually posted to Facebook, torn many acynical remark about the Yahoo move.

Many people in the tech industry talks about Yahoo or about the rarity of patent law. Various analysts said Yahoo's patent nonsense, pathetic and desperate.

According to Fred Wilson, venture capitalists, there is no uniqueYahoo patents and has new ideas when it filed suit. "I'm notdefending Facebook, they can defend themselves. But Yahoo can not bully newcomers to the Internet patent 'fake'. I used to care for the company for several reasons. But not now, I hate them (Yahoo)now, "he said.

But the most interesting is Andy Baio, who writes in Wired about his experience as an employee of Yahoo. Disclosed Baio, Yahooacquired the company, Upcoming.org in 2005 and soon asked himto file a patent on the software as part of a campaign of intellectual property.

Quoted from Mashable, Monday (3/19/2012), then according to the recognition Baio, he was given assurances that Yahoo patents will only be used for self-defense. But now Baio said the complaint filed by Yahoo, is an insult to him and other technicians who filed a patenton their behalf.

Meanwhile, a patent expert Florian Mueller said on Twitter that he expects Yahoo just wanted to take advantage of the lawsuit, butmight have difficulty doing so.

Mueller said this difficulty comes from two things, firstly because thepatent is relatively new, with nine of the 10 patents issued between2007 and 2010, the second is Facebook can see from recenthistory that the patent law requires a long time and rarely cause a disaster.
